Maritza Alcoreza-Dominguez

My husband and I have been in the area for almost 9 years and have proudly started our family over the last seven in this corner of the city. Both girls have attended St. Francis of Assisi for a few years, developing relationships with families in the same growth stage as us. Personally, we spend most of our free time exploring Herring Run and making loops around Lake Montebello. We love it here. Professionally, my career has been in youth development. My first 10 years out of grad school, I worked at Living Classrooms as the chief program officer for out of school time programming. This role included fostering strong public and private partnerships, which is a strength I bring to this role as a board member. As a school therapist, where I am currently working with multilingual students across the city, I have to actively listen every day, process trauma, and provide suggestions for emotional regulation.
